Make your changes against the [[DevelopmentEnvironment latest development code]]. [[HowtoSubmitAPatch Run a diff and upload the patch]]. Make sure to test thoroughly that your changes don't break anything and also have the desired effect.

Send an email to the Developers Mailinglist to tell everyone about it.
